Derwent Kerry Hills was established in the autumn of 2018 when Rach was bought a Pengwern ewe lamb as an early Christmas present. A handsome, halter trained Dodford ram was also purchased so that we had a pair to show during the 2019 season. The flock has been carefully expanded to include foundation female lines from flocks such as Pentrenant, Cardington, Natan and Bryn Llan.

We pride ourselves on breeding hardy grassfed Kerry Hill’s with upstanding, correct conformation and clean fleeces, that can thrive naturally in the challenging Lake District weather.

Derwent Kerry Hills moved to Cragg House Farm in Buttermere with Rach in 2023 and are thriving in a naturally hilly landscape where their hardiness shines through.
